Size and install gas train for thermal and catalytic oxidizers per Factory Mutual Insurance requirements. Design, build and weld in mounting supports for control cabinets, conduit and field devices. Record fan sizes, sheave and bushing sizes, RPMs, amperage, belt sizes and bump motors. Set up and tune Burners by setting main and pilot gas regulators, testing for leaks, checking safeties by simulating high and low gas pressure conditions. Ignite pilot to check/adjust pilot flame. Ignite main burner to check/adjust flame and tune burner temperature PID loop. Set and record parameters for variable frequency drives. Simulate 4-20 input to ensure correct operation and settings. Set up chart recorder and operator interface. Initiate system start and make any adjustments to fan velocities and temperature loops as needed. Measure and record air flows, temperatures, velocities and static pressures. Confirm and record VOC destruction efficiency.
Maintain shop lighting and equipment (metal breaks and shears, 5 ton hoists, etc.).
Maintain office lighting and computer equipment.
