Engineering Specifier

Primary duties involved authoring, editing and performing quality assurance oversight on project specifications for all engineering disciplines. Served as subject matter expert for the Firm regarding Government and Military Specification System (SpecsIntact). Served as resource for training of newly graduated project managers and co-op students. Major projects completed include replacement of hospital chiller plant (2,200 tons), addition of a 750 MW emergency generator to existing 2250 MW power plant, and construction of interventional radiology suite.

As Principal Test Engineer, responsible for direct supervision of a staff of test engineers. Also responsible for preparation and maintenance of design standards manual, and staff training. Worked with project startup field technicians to resolve problems during testing. Allocated resources as required to achieve plant startup schedule, monitored department man-hour budget, and project progress. As Test Engineer, responsible for preparation of instrument and control startup information packages, and technical review of vendor submittals for systems in a boiling-water reactor, nuclear-fueled power generating station.

As Lead Engineer, responsible for directing project designers and engineers to design and fabricate control panels for a nuclear power plant. Prepared system control diagrams, drawings, and control equipment specifications.
