SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Increased fabrication production 50%. Fabrication operations at Shield Air Solutions were not moving at optimal speed and down time was increasing. Convinced the President and Board of Directors of the need for specified equipment. Located, purchased and installed requisite needs and achieved predicted increase in production.

Designed and built generator set. TPS Houston Group needed a generator set that could be flown by helicopter to hard to reach areas, jungles, mountains, oil platforms, etc. Completed design and build of a transportable power station, largest of its kind to this day. Company secured a patent and is producing it at a price of $500K+ per unit.

Saved significant costs with Six Sigma implementation. Earned Six Sigma Certification while with Goodman Manufacturing, first in company to achieve it. Implemented DMAIC principles on the powdercoat line, enabling elimination of 3rd shift in this department. Saved 33% in departmental costs.

Improved operations of fabrication shop at W.H. Porter. Joined Company at a time when improvements were needed in the fabrication shop. Used 5s to immediately clean it, laid out machinery for better work flow, repaired machines, and instituted JIT manufacturing. Went from assembling components for 9 buildings per week to 50+.

Reorganized department and change over procedures. Die change over times was taking too long, causing slow down in production at Goodman. Applied lean manufacturing, specifically SMED, to reorganize stamping dept. and change over methods. Reduced change over times from average 30 minutes to average eight minutes.
