TECHNICAL SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERTISE
Industrial Controls and Automation experience includes DCS, PLC and MMI control systems.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Estimated, designed and supervised the work of over 40 separate work orders simultaneously, ranging from $1K to $250K.
Specified the best operating trash rake system available for a 1930s tunnel intake, and was instrumental in integrating it onto an aging intake structure.
Supervised design and electrical construction for a totally automated 25 Megawatt submerged arc furnace.
Sole designer of new PLC control systems which consisted of total removal of all manual control and installation of touch screen control, for two 20 Megawatt furnaces. This cut-over occurred in 6 days back to full load.
Conceived and designed a paralleled computer, and PLC control systems, maintaining the old mainframe computer system and installing a new PLC system. Consisted of total removal of all manual control and installation of touch screen control, for a 30 Megawatt furnace (cut-over occurred in 13 days back to full load), and checkout of approximately 1600 I/O points.
Supervised electrical construction for an automated mix system that would track up to 9 batches simultaneously.

Handled project development tasks for a new modern trash raking system for a hydro-generation power facility, and updated a 1930s era 100MW 25Hz electrical systems to modern standards.

Designed control system upgrades for chemical plants, field supervision for construction, and performed PSI data collection, and inspections for chemical plants in North America. Designed new control systems for a 5th submerged arc furnace.
