Root 246 Restaurant, Solvang, CA.

Demolition and construction of a $4,000,000, 43,000 sq. ft. 5-Star Restaurant. Three dining rooms, two bars and four banquet rooms. Two commercial kitchens designed specifically to the requirements of Celebrity Chef Bradley Ogden. Met seven-month construction timetable, saving the clients (Chumash Indian Tribe) approximately $300,000.

The Luria House, Birnam Wood C.C., Montecito CA.

Ground-up construction of a 4,500 sq. ft., Barry Berkus-designed, custom luxury residence. Unique and challenging contemporary design, requiring innovative construction techniques such as:
Installing hand-cut ledger stone on curved interior and exterior walls
Designing HVAC, plumbing and electrical install in guest room Clerestory Towers
Massive glass and stone installation throughout
Responsible for solving and implementing Prodema material installation, used for interior/exterior eaves and ceilings

The Schoolhouse Residence Remodel, Montecito, CA.

Extensive ground-up demolition/addition to a 6,000 sq. ft. luxury home, supervised concurrently with the Luria House project. Challenges included adding exterior balconies on to existing structure, designing a new gourmet Kitchen, creating a Maids Quarters, and renovating fireplaces and sub-structure.

2005 to 2007
OWNER/BUILDER PROJECT

Evans Avenue Residence, Summerland, CA.

Owner/Builder project for D&A Development, a self-owned Building and Development Company. A New-Build, 4,800 sq. ft. custom Nantucket-style, 2
story ocean-view residence. Built on a steep incline, with extreme landslide history, requiring 30 ft. deep caissons, buttresses and grade beams.

2003 to 2005
PAUL FRANZ CONSTRUCTION, CARPENTERIA, CA.
PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

The Oprah Winfrey Estate, Montecito, CA.

Superintendent for $50,000,000 of renovation, expansion and new construction for Ms. Winfreys 43-acre Estate. Projects and challenges included a 5,000 sq. ft. addition to the 12,000 sq. ft. Main House, with total renovations of the existing square footage.
Ground-up construction of 4,000 sq. ft. Gate House, private luxury residence for Ms. Winfreys Personal Trainer, Bob Greene.
Installation of over a mile of 200-year-old ship ballast cobble stones, retrieved from Philadelphia, for the private Drive and Motor Court.
Excavation and construction of a one-million gallon irrigation lake.
Ground-up construction of an antique stone, driving/walking bridge, spanning the lake.
Built an antique stone and oak Tea House, with formal English Rose Gardens.
Construction of a stone-walled Amphitheater with seating for 200 guests.
Supervised over 30 acres of landscaping and the installation of over 100, 30-foot oak trees.

2000 to 2003
ADLIN CONSTRUCTION, LOS ANGELES, CA.
PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

Ground-up construction of two Claim Jumper Restaurants, in Northridge and Valencia, CA.
Complete interior and exterior renovations of several Universal Studios, Hollywood Theme Park Retail properties.

OWNER/BUILDER

Construction of The Gate, a VIP Nightclub owned by Albert Gersten. Included three bars, three Dance floors, and a gourmet commercial kitchen.
Renovation of the Sai Sai Restaurant in the Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles, CA.
After the Northridge earthquake in Los Angeles, rebuilt 17 residences, the Warner Center Hilton in Woodland Hills, and Clarion Suites Hotel in North Hollywood.
