SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER Electronic Throttle Control (2003-2009)
Responsible for developing and implementing solutions to cost savings, design scope change and production-related problems associated with the Hyundai Gen 4 and Gen 6 Electronic Throttle Controls. Provided engineering support to other programs as required.
Coordinated a late supplier change for the motor on the Hyundai Gen 6 Electronic Throttle Control which resulted in an annual cost-savings of $300K+.
Designed, tested and implemented a design change to the Hyundai Gen 4 Electronic Throttle Control which resulted in an annual cost savings of $300K+ and required negligible investment.
Led the design team and developed the product costs for the Hyundai Gen 6 Electronic Throttle Control.
Interfaced with manufacturing, design, test engineering, and development engineering to produce solutions to customer requests.
Resolved component durability problems and defined product test strategy.
Conducted daily meetings with Korean manufacturing facility and customer.

SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER Mechanical Throttle Bodies (2000-2003)
Led the design team for the start-up and build of the first mechanical throttle bodies in the Delphi-Beijing manufacturing facility.
Taught several Chinese engineers the fundamentals of mechanical throttle bodies.
Led design team for the implementation of the 2RZ mechanical throttle body.
Presented effective problem resolutions to customer engineering, program and executive teams.

SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER Large Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valves (1998-2000)
Develop a large Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve for the heavy duty truck market. The target customers were Caterpillar, Cummins, International, and Mack Truck.
Responsible for the design, testing, and the building of prototype hardware for the customer.
Developed the initial design concept for the Smart Remote Actuator. This product was eventually developed and released to production by other Delphi engineers.

SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER Pressure Regulators and Fuels Rails (19881998)
Responsible for the cost estimating and program timing for various fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator programs.
Defined manufacturing and tooling processes for high volume applications (25,000/day) and low volume applications (20/day).
Obtained $5M funding for tooling of the Mini-Cartridge Pressure program and controlled spending to stay within budget.
Completed through process documentation.
