Duties: Instructor to future home owners on how to build their homes from start to finish (government funded project for minorities and single parent families to be able to afford a home of their own). Main requirement for group of 10 families; work 10 hours Sat. and Sunday for two adults totaled 40 hours. They would follow my instructions on forming for foundation, framing, roll trusses, hang facsia, sheathing, hang shear panels, install windows and doors, hang drywall, paint (exterior and interior), Hang cabinets, form and pour sidewalksand do their landscaping (subcontractors would do portions of work group could not handle). It was my responsiblity to teach, order materials, document construction activities for each family, log hours worked, diciplinary write-ups, schedule subcontractors and inspections for each phase of construction. Families finished homes on schedule and within budget for entire project. Pay scale $25/hour.
