Objective : My Chief Engineer Position at the National Renewable Energy Lab, Beginning in 1996 was the first opportunity to see how well my expert mechanical and trouble shooting skills would help me when managing a team and having full control over the Building operations. After some training from the DoE on team building and mentoring skills I assumed reasonabilitys for six man team performing all critical and after maintenance. On 50 acre multi building Government research complex. After ten years at Lab I ended up as director of Engineering for Large full service Hotel with crew of 8 my responsibilities included Budget preparation and management, Forecasting expenses, Oversaw and solicit annually all service contracts,
Mentor and train lower level staff on maintenance and Hotel policies and procedures.
Worked with HR manager to write emergency preparedness manual and train all staff on content. Found out my leadership skills were as good as my technical skills.
