I have enclosed my résumé which details my background in Design. What my CV does not describe is my character. I am a conceptual thinker, excellent at generating creative ideas, and a self-starter.
Its my feeling that I am the candidate for the position, within the landscape design division, and with my extensive background in design work. I am passionate about my work and it will show you that I am keen and willing to put in extra time and hours to see the projects to a finish. Some aspects of my work can be seen on the website portfolio that I built as a project for the University. (NO STATED FOR SECURITY) the web site is my current portfolio which as part of doing as Garden Design degree. The projects, ideas and portfolio of my build and design experience.
I have been building projects from the start to finish ensuring that the projects are managed from start to finished working product. Environmental and sustainable developments are also my main objective within design, minimizing the use of materials and maximizing the use of the land terrain. I have the ability to learn programs quick, and enjoy a diverse range of design skills. I can adapt to a range of software and design styles with a new environment and also assist and mentor in other areas if required.I have no fear of any sized project that is handed to me, from costing to the finished products including maintenance schedule.
Most recently I designed with a team of 5 designers of varying skills to design a nature garden and an adventure plays area for Alwoodley Primary school. The projects aims were design and community involving the children and the teachers within the design; this was achieved with the design consultation day we designed to use with the children, model making, games and involving idea solving problems with the area of use. A large scale model and multimedia presentation night was set at the BBC house by the University for Us to present the final results to the clients before the construction stage.
After the presentation was done the 72 page construction package was put together by me and two other group members including costing of three contractors costs and CAD design.
The design was built by BTCV and project managed by me with a few volunteers and students of Leeds Metropolitan University.
My work has also extended to volunteering with Groundwork Leeds working with Mark Toppin on Community school design Projects.
. I would also like to that I am flexible as well to the needs of the council in travel and work commitments.
I would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate these qualities in person and look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, Richard Kidger
