Currently I am the Director of Sales & Estimating, and Chief Estimator for a system built modular company specializing in multi-family, mixed used, light commercial projects. I am responsible for Directing and overseeing activities relating to contracts, bids, and estimation of the cost of labor and materials for projects, products, or services to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and to maximize profits. I plan, develop, direct, establish, and implement organization policies, procedures, and objectives in accordance with the objectives of the organization through subordinate administrative personnel. I report directly to the President and the CEO of the company and I have sales, purchasing, and CAD/CAM managers reporting to me daily. On top of the daily operations I analyze and approve department budgets and requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocate operating budgets. I review and oversee all estimating activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes needing to be made in cost estimates. My production and construction experience ranges from multi-family, mixed-use, hotel, high end residential, commercial and school construction, to include over 15 years in the construction industry, the last two being devoted strictly to the system built modular industry. I developed the Sierra Management Group to aid developers, architects, private owners and contractors alike with their efficiency and process flow as it pertains specifically to the sales and estimating / project management. I work directly with executive and upper level management teams to bridge the gap between their sales, job costing, estimating, project management and operations whether they be site built construction or manufacturing modular construction. In my 15 plus years in the construction industry I have always noticed a failure or glitch in process flow from the conception of a project at the design or pre-design stages through the operations and completion of the clients project. I have developed a flow to bridge the communication and knowledge gap between these departments in turn giving the client the results they desire and the communication and efficiency which generates greater profit margins. As Sierra Management I have helped clients with physical carpentry and engineering issues to complete turnkey project management, from design through occupancy.
