API 1104 (American Petroleum Institute (Welding of Pipelines and Related Facilities)) Power Piping Code (ANSI/ASME B31.1, B31.3) Refinery Piping and Chemical Plant Piping Code. Welding on ½ plates with E-6010 root and E-7018 remainder. All positions.
►Welded with the four major welding processes: SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding), and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding).
►Welded on these base metals: A36 Grade B, A53 Grade B, A106 Grade B, 300 Series Stainless Steel, and 4043 Series Aluminum.
►Have specific knowledge of all welding defects and discontinuities, the origins of these and the ability to repair them.
►Ability to read and interpret radiographs to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Section V.
►Ability to read detailed isometric pipe drawing.
►Full knowledge of pipe take-offs, mitering fittings to odd angles, layouts of laterals and saddles, offsets, rolling offsets, as well as any odd angle offsets.
►Punctual, dependable, hard working, eager to learn, follows instructions with great attention to details, excellent communication skills.
Certifications:►Certified Plate Welder-American Welding Society (AWS-Structural Welding Code D1.1) welding on ½ plates with backing strip with FCAW process using .045 wire. 2G and 3G positions.
►Certified Pipe Welder-ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Section IX on 6 sch. 80 pipe with E-6010 root and E-7018 remainder. 6G position on 6 sch. 80 pipe with GTAW root and E-7018 remainder.
