Designed, implemented and centralized and diverse facility, grounds and fleet administration, maintenance, emergency response policies, repair and operation program for regional telecommunications company operating 400 buildings and 3000 vehicles and mobile tools in 5 states.
Regional management responsibility for total facility operations in a large directories publishing company. In the second year of service our team reversed previous last place positions to first in cost control, customer service and goal achievement, winning the Presidents Group Award two consecutive years.
In an aerospace manufacturing environment, as Facility Operations Manager, identified, gained approval, implemented a comprehensive energy usage reduction programs in 3 locations resulting in direct cost avoidance of $250,000 annually.
Assumed overall responsibility of operations management for a large, historic and a deeply indebted 501c3 non-profit community center. In six years I led a team that recovered from a significant operations deficit to a useable surplus while providing 100% customer support. For my last 18 months I served a dual capacity to include acting Executive Director and successfully managed the sale of the building from the Seattle School District to the Association.
Organization and Customer Service
Assigned and successfully completed primary management of reorganization of 5 state decentralized building and fleet organization from to centralized. Successfully completed a year ahead of schedule, under budget with excellent customer service marks.
Assigned operations management and successfully completed a corporate critical and expedited world headquarters remodel, construction and employee relocation ahead of schedule, under budget.
Assumed management of failed regional publishing company facilities operations and reversed poor customer service levels, quality of work, employee dissatisfaction and over budget situation. Awarded Presidential Award of Excellence and Group Award of Excellence in Customer Service 3 years in a row.
Successfully reversed failed operations of a highly visible historic community center by adapting progressive management and customer service principles. This effort resulted in surplus budget and excellent customer service results in 2 years.
