Work included dealing with future homeowners, coordinating, directing and monitoring the activities of subs and suppliers, while planning and reviewing project work. Made sure that homes were built on time and within budget, while performing other duties as assigned such as light punch-out. Reported to upper management as to the progress of homes under construction, and of any changes made in the
field at the time of construction. The schedule was kept on schedule by solving problems in a timely manner to avoid any long delays. Became familiar with the county building codes and regulation of the city of Lexington, SC, while establishing a relationship with the local building inspectors.
2005-2006 Superintendent, Sivica Homes
Was in charge of scheduling subs from grading to customer acceptance. Maintained approximately 10-15 Homes, while making sure they were built on time and within
the allotted budget, by showing excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills. Obtained any permits necessary, or made sure subs obtained all necessary permits needed to complete a job. Communicated with sales and upper management as to the
progress of homes by preparing a construction schedule, keeping it updated weekly, and solving problems in a timely manner to eliminate any possible delays. Became very familiar with the city of Macons building codes and practices. Maintained an excellent relationship with both local inspectors, by coordinating the works on site with the activities of necessary inspections, and subs to make sure the construction schedule was upheld. Developed a great relationship with the City of Richmond Hill Building Inspectors, and local subs, by ensuring that the construction schedule was upheld by solving problems to eliminate delays. Work involved scheduling subs, walking homes everyday and communicated with upper management routinely as to progress of jobs. Assisted in the training on new assistants with the way Pulte Homes built their home.
1994-1998 Assistant Superintendent, Anderson and Son Commercial Construction
Scheduled subs from grading to tenant take over. Communicated with future tenants on completion on their building, by supervising the field construction of projects, which included the organization, planning, and scheduling, in order to complete the work on time, within budget, and to quality specified. Was in charge of approximately 5 to 20 subs, laborers, and crew members at any one time. Developed and implemented work schedules identifying the critical path including the expediting of scheduled materials and equipment for their timely delivery to site. Occasionally performed other duties and took on other responsibilities as needed to help aid in the finishing of a project.
