Provided complete management services for interior finish packages totaling $30M on $150M new 500,000 square foot hospital construction. As team leader for all finish trades, duties include coordinating, directing and supervising personnel and subcontractors to ensure the completion of work on time, and to the quality specified; establishing and maintaining project finish schedule; maintaining relations with and serving as a liaison to both the architect and finish trade subcontractors; financial reporting; maintaining contract documents via RFIs, ASIs and change bulletins; assuring quality control; and, establishing general administrative procedures for the interiors project team.
Senior Project Engineer - US Capitol Visitors Center
Working as the Owners Representative on the US Capitol Visitors Center, a 500,000 square foot underground exhibition hall / congressional office space (current value $500M and growing), primarily responsible for estimating and negotiating change orders (1,600+ changes and growing). Protected the Governments money as if it were my own, while striving for fair and reasonable settlements to all parties. Also developed and maintained the punch list (14,000+ items and growing). Complete on-site field and office management for Miscellaneous Metals, Structural Steel, and Sitework Subcontractors, including monitoring work-in-place, on-site coordination, schedule, submittal and RFI review, monthly requisitions, change order negotiation, contract scope determination and negotiation. Primary point of contact to architect for this $750M, approximately 1.3 million square foot project with 850,000 square feet of core program function. This project includes 250,000 square feet of laboratories and 250 in-patient beds along with 100-day station beds.
