Objective :	Cover Letter I graduated from High school from Park Rapids, Mn. 1971. I attended Detroit Lakes Vocational Technical Institute from 1971-1973 with a degree in Architectural Drafting. I worked with several Residential building companies: Capp Homes, Miles Homes, and Progress 2 Homes for 9 years as a Board Draftsman in Minnesota and Colorado. I also worked as an Estimator, Contract checker and Salesperson with Miles Homes and President Homes. Homeworx Partners Inc. was a residential home building company that I started with (2) partners in 1994. I was the Construction Department. I designed the home plans, Estimated materials, Scheduled deliveries, Hired and managed Subcontractors, and Project managed the building of 18-35 homes a year. In 1993 before the inception of Homeworx Partners Inc. I purchased a Design software program “Chief Architect”. I have been using that software and have upgraded every year since then and currently working with release X1. I have been involved in Residential Construction throughout my entire working career. Most recently I have been a general contractor, designing and building remodeling projects. With the recent downward trend in the economy, I have found it very difficult to find quality projects to work on. Although I am a carpenter, it is increasingly more difficult to perform the more physical demanding jobs (I’m 56 years old!) I am looking for a position where I can use my design, estimating and project management talents. I am proficient with Chief Architect, but, have used autocad and several other design software programs. I feel I am confident and qualified to perform any office duties. I have also been involved in Sales, management, and Marketing. I know my way around Word, Excel, Photo shop, Hometech (estimating) and Turbo Project (project management). If hired, I can bring over 30 years of experience to the table and I have many contractors, subcontractors, vendors and construction contacts that would be available. I am looking for a company that has a need for a seasoned residential construction professional that can step up to “Any” task and complete it. I am punctual, honest, sincere and hardworking.
