Senior Project Manager - $67 million dollar project constructing sixteen miles of Interstate 73
I was responsible for overall project performance, including layout, embankment, grading, paving, underground drainage, nine interchanges, three bridges, scheduling, subcontracts, budget, public relations, erosion controls, environmental issues, change orders and claims. At the time of assuming the project manager’s position, the project was behind schedule and over budget. The project team was able to regain the schedule and bring the unit costs back on budgeted.
Palmer Paving/Cogim 2003 – 2004 (contract work)
Projects Manager- led the design, bid, and build team for the Afghanistan’s Kabul to Kandahar Highway. The team spent three months in Afghanistan preparing the Request for Bid documents. Performing surveys, engineering and design for the highway to FP-96 Standard Specification of Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects, preparation of specifications, and quantities. • Managed the design and construction of 200 miles of high voltage transmission lines, six substations, and access roads through the Andes in western Argentina. Project finished ahead of schedule and under budget.
