WORK EXPERIENCE/HISTORY

Field Service Engineer, Fluid Management Williamsburg, VA 2005-2009
• Provided excellent customer service through the installation and service of Fluid Management industrial paint dispensing and shaking equipment. Serviced over 40 sites encompassing the entire state of Virginia, with markets such as Home Depot, Lowes, Benjamin Moore, Wal-mart, and Sherwin-Williams. Duties also included training store management and personnel
• Performed on-call and preventative maintenance to company equipment. This included the troubleshooting/replacement of electrical/electronic components such as computer cpu and peripherals, transformers, line filters, relays, proximity sensors, printed circuit boards, switches, dc motors, encoders, and wiring harnesses/connectors. Mechanical components serviced included pumps, pulleys, chains, belts, bearings, fluid canisters, and fluid carrying lines/fittings
• Planned maintenance included scale calibration and updating of company’s windows-based software
• Traveled out of service area to assist field engineers in other states, sometimes staying overnight or multiple days
• Maintained company assets including company van, laptop, credit card, tools, and parts inventory


Aircraft Mechanic (Avionics), DynCorp NAS Patuxent River, MD 2001-2005
• Maintained electrical/avionics systems on CH-53E, UH-1N, AH-1W, TH-57 (bell), and H-60 helicopter platforms including (but not limited to): power generation/distribution, engine/flight control electrical systems, and pneumatic/electronic/fuel instrument systems. Avionics included UHF/VHF radios, ICS, communication/radar antennas, coaxial cable repair, GPS/navigation, control display/data bus interfacing, radar receiver/transmitters, FLIR (forward-looking infrared) and IFF components/wiring
• Performed scheduled and unscheduled maintenance including special hourly inspections and on-the-fly troubleshooting. Flight line troubleshooting ensured fast and efficient turn-around times for aircraft, equipment and crew personnel
• Provided support/feedback to Projects/Engineering Dept for the implementation, testing, and upgrading of new and existing aircraft systems
• Utilized schematics, technical manuals/cd, and various test meters/equipment to ensure quality maintenance. Also used PC-based software to document maintenance actions






Assembly Line Electrician, Liebherr-America, Inc Newport News, VA 1999-2001
• Total ground-up electrical assembly of 300+ ton capacity electric-drive mining dump trucks
• Fabricated and installed electrical harnesses, assembled and modified junction boxes using drills, hole-saws, and grinders; installed high and low voltage wiring/cable as well as shielded wiring ranging in size from 24 awg to 646 mcm cable
• Terminated crimp and solder-type connections
• Upon completion of assembly, tested electrical systems for proper operation including generator output testing, axle drive systems (closed-loop operations), cab to control box wiring integrity, computer-engine-truck interfacing, lighting, and electro-mechanical-hydraulic systems (drive by wire steering, braking, and dump cylinder operation)
• Worked daily with engineers to incorporate changes, correct technical drawings, and improve assembly line efficiency


Aviation Electrician, United States Navy Norfolk, VA 1988-1999
• Maintained and repaired electrical systems on SH-2F, C-2A and E-2C Hawkeye aircraft both at sea and on shore installations
• Incorporated changes to electrical/avionics system via technical directives as required
• Served as Shift supervisor in charge of materials and manpower. Also designated as full systems Quality Assurance Representative and Collateral Duty Inspector
• Aircraft maintenance included (but not limited to): Aircraft generation and lighting, aircraft Ni-Cad batteries, vapor cycle (air conditioning/environmental), navigation systems, automatic flight control systems, pneumatic/electronic instrument calibration, wiring/cable repair and harness fabrication. Also experienced on aircraft flight line servicing procedures, engine & fuel systems/components, hydraulics, and flight control systems
• Worked in a team environment to ensure safety, efficiency, and training of existing and new personnel
