Job Description:	We are seeking a Sr. Project Engineer for our Construction Division to provide construction oversight and be responsible for Quality Assurance/Control, contract administration and construction safety. Under the supervision of a Construction Group Manager or Resident Engineer, this individual observes activities on construction projects to determine adherences to contract documents and regulatory agency provisions. - Analyzes construction project requirements in terms of personnel required for observation of construction progress and for testing and sampling of materials. - Schedules, oversees/supervises field inspection staff, if necessary. - Will handle RFIs, submittals and needs to have experience in working and writing proposals. - Observes/inspects construction progress in the field and writes reports to record observations and summarize test results. Monitors contractors' progress against established schedule. - Reviews payment requests and authorizes payments up to assigned dollar limit, or submits them to more senior personnel for authorization. - Recommends solutions to field construction problems, acting as intermediary between contactor and PBS&J personnel. - Provides input to Office Engineer or others for the preparation of final estimate package. - Performs other duties as the supervisor may from time to time when deemed necessary. Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, four years minimum experience in civil engineering and an Arizona P.E. is required. - Good mathematical, computer, comunications, analytical and organizational skills required. - Certifications recommended ATI, ACI, NICET, ASSTA - Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Job also requires intellectual ability to plan and prioritize tasks, and review contract documents, project plans and progress reports. - If position requires driving a company vehicle, incumbent must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. - Travel and overnight stay is possible and may be required for specific projects.
