Job Description:	Edgewood Properties, a large commercial and residential builder, is currently seeking a Construction Estimator/Bidder for our corporate office located in Piscataway, New Jersey. Candidate will be accomplished in all areas of construction estimating and bidding and preparing full estimates for retail, residential and mixed-use projects. Exhibit outstanding negotiation skills and be very budget conscious. Attention to detail and strong follow through; able to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with innovative problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Analyze prints, specifications, and other documentation and prepare thorough scopes of work for all trades. Prepare and distribute bid packages/consult with outside vendor suppliers on requests for quotes. Strong understanding of construction materials, means & methods and display awareness of competitive construction processes. Create take-offs from architectural drawings and estimate jobs with accuracy, speed and efficiency. Prepare cost estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work, preparing bids, and determining cost effectiveness. Work closely with architects, project management and engineering personnel to resolve technical matters during negotiation and contract execution. Assist in preparing RFI’s for jobs in progress. Prepare job schedules and durations for successful bids. Assist in job close out; review final costs for accuracy in original bid
