Job Description:	Job Description: Medium size commercial wall system contractor seeking a take charge estimator / entrepreneur attitude to manage an electronic estimating department in Hudson NH. In this position the estimator is required to complete accurate take off, prepare quotation, present bid, negotiate contract, manage bid load for the department and delegate to additional estimating staff. The estimator will have minimal support in this role. The estimator will have a direct report of 2-3 other estimators. We have made the transition from traditional paper estimating department to a digital estimating department. Estimating software knowledge is required. Qualification: Preferable candidate will have 5-10 years experience in estimating and project management in the commercial drywall market. The candidate will have working relationship will large commercial general contractor for the New England Market. Excellent working knowledge of Quick Bid and On Screen Take Off. Clear ability to take our company from 10 million is sales to 35 million in sales within the next 2 years. Duties and responsibilities: * Initiate contact to receive plans and spec for all new projects and generate or maintain 10-30 millions in business with help of other estimator * Ensure estimates are completed within the required time-frame * Implement and maintain tools designed to improve the estimating process, Quick Bid or other estimating software * Conduct review of the complete estimate prior to issuing quotation and after project is completed to assess any discrepancy of actual cost versus estimated cost. Implement corrective actions * Track and prepare change order. Ensure change orders are process and documented properly. * Attend weekly field production meeting if needed (10%) * Place orders for material and coordinate shipment to job site * Prepare submittals for projects * Attend Construction Team meetings regularly to discuss process changes, reinforce practices and obtain feedback on estimates * Maintain all assemblies and production rate for Quick Bids * Ensure all new Team Members are trained on the procedures and use of the estimating system * Assist in the development, supervision and training of all Team Members in various roles within the Estimating Department * Assist with incoming and outgoing calls as needed to generate and maintain the business * Perform any duties assigned by management * Prepare for scope review meeting and close sales
