Job Description:	Responsible for the organization and direction of construction engineering personnel and activities relating to construction engineering, subcontracts, and engineering liaison to the design functional group. Interprets design drawings and specifications. Supervises field verification of materials. Provides technical direction to construction engineers and superintendents in a wide range of construction engineering and design functions relating to multi- discipline engineering in an area or to a single discipline on the overall project. On a large project, performs the duties of the Project Field Engineer or Project Field Quality Control Engineer, responsible for coordination of activities related to the area of responsibility and interfaces with all other operating sections of the jobsite. Works directly with planning organization to assure construction schedules developed and integrated with engineering schedules. Works directly with Project Field Superintendent to assure, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements. Responsible for coordination of construction operations to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules. Works with Field Engineering and Supervision to assure schedule priorities are followed. Implements Six Sigma tools, analysis, and decision-making in the executive of duties. Work with project controls to assure project action item lists are maintained Maintains relationships and coordinates schedule interface with other departments on site including start-up. Develops schedules and punch lists for room, area and system turnover. Develops and integrates outage schedules. Basic Requirements: Must have prior nuclear experience of at least 8-10 years BS Degree in Engineering or related field plus 10 years of experience; or equivalent experience Must have the right to work and remain in the United States Must have a valid US Drivers License Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. Must be able to comply with site procedures. Work includes field inspections, climbing ladders, scaffold, work on elevated platforms, permanent ladders, work on uneven surfaces and work in confined spaces.
