Job Description: Summary Description:

This position will have key responsibilities for estimating, securing and managing projects and will work in partnership with other members of the Operations, Engineering and Service Departments to facilitate timely communication and support company goals.​

Essential Job Functions:

The qualified Estimator and Project Manager should have the following experience:

• 5 to 8 years minimum experience working in HVAC/​Plumbing industry is a requirement.​

• Experience with estimating software (currently using Estimation and MC²), Microsoft Excel/​Microsoft Office.​

• The ability to analyze, interpret and compare detailed information from contract documents and bid specifications.​

• The ability to clearly communicate inside and outside of the organization.​

• Ability to take a proposal through all the steps of preparing the bid documents, presenting the proposal, securing the project through negotiation and build.​

• The ability to take a conceptual plan and create a detailed budget package.​

• Ability to ensure planning and preparation is sufficient to support an accurate and profitable project.​

• Ability to promote and maintain strong partnerships with our customers and vendors.​

• Ability to create and maintain a detailed project schedule.​

• Support and promote the company vision, mission and goals.​

Qualifications:

• Industry knowledge and exeperience are required for this position.​

• Knowledge of construction and scheduling techniques.​

• Ability to work quickly and accurately in within a demanding and tight work schedule.​

• Well organized, with excellent ability to prioritize.​

Education and Experience:

• College background, with an emphasis on construction and engineering technology.​

• Strong background in mathematics (including algebra and geometry), drafting, blueprint reading, and English, are necessary.​

• A minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the HVAC industry.​

• Computer literacy is mandatory.​ Knowledge and experience using “Estimation/​MC²” software is preferred.​

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• None Required

Physical Demands:

• Primarily sedentary work in an office with desk with chair

• Some repetitive motion required (i.​e.​ – use of keyboard for data entry and logging of calls)

• Ability to work under pressure; can handle tight deadline and high stress situations.​

• Travel will be required on a regular basis in this position, including field survey work and site/​customer visits.​ This may also require, on occasion, working at heights, climbing of ladders, etc.​
