Job Description:	The Project Engineer/Estimator will have at least 5 years of commercial and industrial construction experience. We are seeking individuals who can provide estimates for all facets of construction. This individual will be responsible for all document control – submittals logs, RFI logs, cost proposal, change order logs, sending out plans and specifications, etc. This individual should be organized, self-motivated and dependable. Results Expected: · Providing PM’s with thorough and comprehensive support on all projects · Project Documentation is up to date, the PM receives the end product · All bids that are submitted are fully covered · Ensure all job sites and the main office have complete sets of plans and specifications · Ensure that all submittals are in compliance with contract documents · Ability to answer subcontractor construction questions Position Responsibilities: · Knowledge and understanding of blueprints and construction documents · On-going field site visits to understand construction · Complete responsibility for the Submittal process and receipt of schedule o Create and review for accuracy all pre-construction submittals o Review and package in-house electrical submittals o Review all subcontractor submittals for contract compliance o All submittals scanned and saved to the companyweb · Assist with Contract Buy-outs · Maintain all logs - RFI, Cost Proposal/ Change Orders, Submittal Logs · Assist the Contracts Administrator in Tracking Job information sheet for each project including start and completion dates · Assist in Packaging bids, Quantity Take-offs, Material Quotes for bids o Follow-up with Subcontractor coverage o Attend job walks o Ensure that all trades are covered · Send and Deliver plans, specifications, amendments, addendums to all subcontractors and in-house personnel · Send out request for quotes as per PM direction · Maintain Subcontractor Database (Pre-Qualify Subs) and vendor database: filed by division and location · Create and maintain Job specific Subcontractor Contact list · Attending weekly owner meeting when necessary o Responsible for meeting minutes o Scoping meeting minutes with Subcontractors when necessary · Create in house Shop Drawings using CAD when necessary Minimum 2 years Construction Experience We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and Offer Competitive Benefit Packages.
