Job Description:	1. Reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. 2. Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. 3. Maintains files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc. 4. Supports other department personnel as required, may include preparing estimates in other disciplines. 5. Reviews design options and recommends best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials. 6. Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction. 7. Requires minimum supervision when estimating items in own discipline. 8. May independently estimate a medium to large sized project. 9. Must be HCSS proficient or proficient within a 12 month period.
