Job Description:	POSITION SUMMARY Ideal candidate is responsible for preparation of cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial projects such as healthcare, federal and hospitality. Monitors construction information sources and reports on potential projects to bid on to Chief Estimator. Responsibilities include: o Reviews and analyzes historical cost reports and other data to obtain information relevant to the bidding process o Supervises the preparation of cost estimates and bid proposals for assigned projects, including personnel assigned to the project, and designs estimate summaries for assigned projects o Supervises a complete review, evaluation and quantification of work scope, including the terms and conditions of bid documents; may conduct site visits to analyze conditions o Calculates total resources required for projects, including direct and indirect cost as well as offering practical cost savings suggestions o Obtains and evaluates quotes from vendors an subcontractors and makes recommendation on the selection of vendors and subcontractors o Submits the preparation of detailed cost breakdown using standard work codes when possible, and assists in preparing detailed work schedules upon request o Prepares estimates for conceptual, design-build and hard bid projects ranging in scope of work from $25 Million to $100 Million o Participates in the pre-bid and post bid revisions, meetings and negotiations o Ability to estimate project cost for multiple divisions, including detailed quantity take-off Candidates MUST possess the following experience: o Minimum of 7 years of experience in a commercial construction setting (i.e. healthcare, federal, hospitality) o Bachelor's degree from four-year a college or university preferred but not required o Proficient with MS Office Suite, Timberline, MC2, OST, AutoCAD o Ability to work with estimating and quantity take off techniques and procedures o Excellent written and communication skills o Strong conceptual estimating skills with the ability to understand price define and explain estimate content and approach **Applicants must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!
