Job Description:	Duties and Responsibilities: Applicant will assist in the development of Type I, II, Ill & IV CAPEX cost estimates, and OPEX cost estimates for projects associated with steel making and processing. These estimates are to include engineering, project management, procurement, fabrication, transport, installation, hook-up & commissioning, OPEX, and abandonment. Applicant will work with internal and client departments to ensure staff and team understanding of total project estimate. · Assist in preparation of estimates in accordance with the approved procedures for all phases of the works · Assist in the collection of equipment and MTO information from all disciplines involved in the project for costing and compilation into the cost estimate. · Participation in reviews and critiques of designs and specifications for cost effectiveness including exploration of alternatives with the alliance client. Requirements BA/BS degree in related field or applicable discipline. 4 to 7 years of estimating experience on major capital projects and plant maintenance, steel making and processing is preferred. Must have: · Through knowledge of and experience with industry software, MS Excel, MS Access, @Risk. · Broad knowledge of North American construction labor and materials pricing, delivery, and lead times. · Possesses and is recognized as an expert within area of focus. Uses best practices to solve functional issues and improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges. Participates in plan implementation. Independently works through individual projects and/or plays key role in broader projects. Relies on systemic thinking and understanding of broader organizational implications of the work being performed to solve problems · Ability to maintain confidential information is critical Other Skills Effectively communications, presentation skills are essential. Successful applicant will have clear and concise writing ability and proven leadership skills in an alliance environment.
