Job Description:	We are looking for an Electrical Utility Construction Estimator experienced in power, utilities and utility work to join a specialty contractor / subcontractor that designs and builds major projects across the United States. We are also seeking an Electrical Estimator experienced in preparing accurate bids for projects involving light rail or highway construction (lighting, signals, signage, ITS, etc.). You will be joining an organization that is recognized as the largest specialty electrical contractor in the Midwest and one of the largest in the US. This is what you will do: * Prepare accurate bids for utility projects involving distribution, transmission lines, and substations. * Ensure compliance with general and special conditions of bids including, insurance requirements, minority quotas (both contractor and work force) as well as compliance with applicable codes. * Work closely with administration and marketing to prepare bid submissions. Requirements 1. A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management is required. 2. Five or more years of estimating experience required preferably in a self performing construction environment. 3. Experience working in distribution, transmission and substation estimating for electrical utility projects.
