Our Santa Rosa, CA location is currently accepting applications for an experienced Waterproofing Estimator. Under the direction of the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for estimating waterproofing construction jobs, submitting bids and acting as project manager in the bid process. Also, performs other related duties as required. RESPONSIBILITIES include: · Researches Builders Exchange and trade publications to locate construction projects for bidding purposes and proactively seeks new and prospective customers · Estimates new and retrofit construction measures for waterproofing commercial construction. · Prepares and submits bids and work orders. · Processes submittals and contracts. · Corresponds with General Contractors and waterproofing consultants as necessary to complete projects. · Sets up and attends pre-construction meetings. · Visits the job-site and consults with superintendents. · Communicates with vendor representatives in support of job needs and specifications. · Processes and follows up on all change orders. · Assists in timely collection of all customer accounts, as needed. · May prepare monthly big logs, and contribute upon request to other sales reports and analysis. · Participates and attends sales meetings. · Performs special assignments as required. · Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · Two years of college or trade school or the equivalent experience as an estimator. · Two years experience in the waterproofing trade preferably as an estimator or project manager. · Working knowledge of architecture and mechanical drawing. · Ability to read, interpret and accurately take-off constructions drawings. · Must be able to operate computer and standard software applications. Also must be able to learn and utilize specialized software applications. · Must possess excellent skills in math, writing, public relations, communications and negotiations. · Regular attendance is required.
