Job Description:	DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Estimates labor hours and material costs for hardware-oriented electrical and mechanical engineering and manufacturing tasks in support of company proposal and contract activities -Works closely with project engineers to develop engineering and manufacturing labor hour estimates and with vendors, subcontractors, and procurement to develop a consolidated priced summary bill of material -Leads and coordinates costing effort for major programs or business areas -Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness -Responsible for observing all laws and regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company -Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or related discipline and a minimum of 6 years of experience -Experience in working with engineers and vendors in the development and validation of labor, material and subcontract estimates for high-technology systems -Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply them accurately throughout and evolving environment; organize schedule, and coordinate work phases and determine the approach at the task level or with assistance at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex issues -The ability to resolve complex problems in a timely fashion; strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills; in a team environment -Experience and knowledge in FAR and TINA -Proficiency in MS Office, Access, and Project DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: -Working knowledge of pricing and estimating tools -U.S. Navy program acquisition, shipbuilding, and DOD experience -Experience working with SAP and Windchill highly desirable OTHER PARTICULARS: -Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance required -Other duties as assigned -Some travel required
