Job Description:	Duties: You will perform work involving construction installation, repair, or modification of wood and wood substitute structures and items requiring close tolerance fit and structural soundness. You will construct and repair structural items such as building frames, rafters, walls, doors, windows, interior and exterior trim and miscellaneous items used in vans and shelters containing electronic equipment. Also constructs workbenches, counter tops, equipment containers, etc. that may require limited decorative trim and molding. Plans and lays out work in accordance with drawings, sketches, blueprints, and own knowledge of carpentry. You will cut, turn, shape, join, bond, fit, and assemble materials and parts using hand and power woodworking tools, machines and techniques; and set up and operate a variety of wood working techniques such as miters, rabbets, dados, biscuit, and mortise and tenon. Accuracy, spacing, fit, structural soundness and finished appearance are essential. About the Position: Tobyhanna Army Depot is the largest, full-service electronics maintenance facility in the Department of Defense with a total installation work force of more than 5,000. The depot s mission includes design, manufacture, repair and overhaul of hundreds of electronic systems for all branches of the Armed Forces. They include satellite terminals, radio and radar systems, secure communications, electro-optics, night vision and anti-intrusion devices, airborne surveillance equipment, navigational instruments, electronic warfare, and guidance and control systems for tactical missiles.
