The Project Scheduler will develop, monitor and maintain schedules for proposals, projects or other tasks as needed or requested.



Specific responsibilities include:

* Create, edit, maintain, and optimize project schedules for multiple, simultaneous large projects using Microsoft Project. Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Contractor WBS (CWBS), using them to create and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project (> 1500 tasks), using generally accepted best scheduling practices.
* Track issues, risks, and action items, working with client stakeholders to identify detailed tasks, durations, dependencies, and resources to build the schedule. Establish resolution and mitigation plans.
* Build a dynamic project schedule with minimum task constraints.
* Provide analysis, evaluation, and forecasting of current project status with the established baseline schedule. Identify shortfalls and recommend solutions to project management.
* Perform Critical Path Analysis (CPA). Assess the impact of design and/or construction changes and schedule slippages.
* Establish a schedule baseline and/or a Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
* Document and manage the schedule progress update and modifications process.
* Analyze contractor schedules for best practices in dynamic scheduling, potential hiding of problems (e.g., lack of resources, lack of progress, etc.), and inclusion into the IMS.
* Assess schedule performance and advise the team on status and preventive/corrective actions required.
* Track actual vs. planned and forecast vs. baseline.
* Creating tracking reports out of MS Project. Creating presentations, dashboards, and reports on the schedule for management reporting.
* Serve as the focal point for coordination and scheduling for project activities.

Requirements

* 5+ years of demonstrated project scheduling proficiency using Microsoft Project.
* Experience must include large capital projects in industrial construction. An understanding of industry/construction work practices, processes and sequencing and their impact on project scheduling activities is essential.
* Must have a technical aptitude, be able to analyze information, prepare reports, and drive efficiency.
* Experience with fast-tracking and crashing schedules is desired.
* Proficiency in MS-Office applications, including an exceptional grasp of Excel.
* Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance.
* Able to travel to job sites as required (approx. 25%).
