Job Description:	* In coordination with our sales team, utilizes all available technology in the estimation, design, engineering and configuration of a full range of electronic security systems * Plans, organizes, directs, and controls project activities for effective management of electronic security installation projects * Supervises installation labor and sub-contractors * Defines project problems by working with financial, contract management and management tools to assure project profitability * Essential to be able to work as a member of a cohesive team The Project Manager/Estimator: * Develops estimates and preliminary installation plans o Prepares accurate, cost-effective and competitive estimates/scopes of work, as well as generates written lists of the scope of work to be performed * Plans and schedules engineering, installation and subcontracting activities on large and/or complex systems or service projects * Performs design engineering * Maintains current job plans and specifications * Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies and services * Prepared the project installation plan, manages the plan and prepares and implements job procedures * Determines and implements changes in design, contract price and installation plans * Maintains construction schedules and coordinates task-scheduling with other trades * Selects and monitors the performance of subcontractors * Maintains all records of job status, job changes and material flow Education, Experience & Abilities: · Associates Degree (2 year) in a technical capacity desirable · Minimum of 5 years experience in project management, estimating and installation of electronic security systems · Knowledge of security-related products and experience in estimating installation timeframes · Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and security concepts and operations · Good subcontracting and people management skills required · Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables · Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, & MS Outlook and design & project management software · Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, as well as procedure manuals · Ability to write routine reports and correspondence · Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees · Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Certificates & Licenses: · Valid Washington State Limited Energy Electrician License is essential · Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record Supervisory Duties: · Supervises installation technicians and contractors. · Interfaces with Sales Staff, Project Managers, Engineering Manager, Designers and Applications Engineers.
