Job Description: Under administrative direction, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Personal safety as well as the safety of co-workers
• As required, attend meetings to represent the O&M estimating function
• Coordination of estimating workload to provide high-quality estimates to upper-level estimators in a timely manner, in which the information is reconcilable to source data
• Self-checking of his/her work and that of subordinates, if applicable, to ensure accuracy and compliance requirements are met
• Directly interfacing with home office and in-field personnel to ensure the most accurate information is available for use in estimating and work priorities are aligned with project needs
• Ensuring the source material used in the estimating process meets compliance requirements and is updated as required and as new information becomes available.
• Where appropriate and in-line with compliance requirements, provide improvement suggestions to the estimating tools and work processes

Some of the personal development expectations include, but are not limited to:
• Continue to improve on personal development started under lower labor grades (where applicable)
• Develop an understanding of indirect and conceptual estimating theories and techniques
• Demonstrate basic understanding of supervisory techniques
• Demonstrate basic understanding of Estimating’s role in Baseline Centric Execution
• Accept job-site assignment if opportunity presents itself
Some of the basic tasks frequently performed in this position include, but are not limited to:
• Support the development and refinement of material pricing, and labor effort-hour units for estimates and change orders
• Support information exchange between the Engineering, Purchasing, and Construction groups
• Support the development of the Project Execution Plan, estimate basis and procedures
• Develops and maintains project-level and control-level estimating schedules
• Maintain established Specialty Estimating Systems, Procedures, and Manuals
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements Technical Degree, training certificates, military technical training or equivalent plus 10 years of hands on, field level maintenance experience.
Proficient in the use Microsoft products such as Excel, Word and Power Point
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic understanding of maintenance requirements for:
• Power generation and electrical distribution equipment
• Commercial and industrial HVAC systems
• Waste and potable water handing systems and equipment
• Rotating equipment (motors, pumps, compressors etc)
• Commercial grade electrical systems and associated components
• Structural components
Former contingency operations experience preferred but not required
Willingness to work nights and weekends as required
Ability to deploy to area of contingency operations as required (short term and long term)
Other Job Requirements Job is located in Greenville, SC, but candidate must have the ability to deploy for short/long term assignments in Afhanistan.
