Sr. Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

Job Description:	High school diploma/G.E.D. Nine (9) years experience in commercial and industrial building maintenance and automated conveyor systems including at least three (3) years experience in a maintenance planning and scheduling capacity with experience in MRP(Material Requirement Planning) or preventive maintenance planning and scheduling functions. Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications. certification by the american production and inventory control society desirable. Must be willing to work odd work weeks and shifts. Strong human relations and communication skills. Performs appraisals on whether the work involved on work orders should be executed by maintenance personnel or by an outside contractor. Obtains Sr. Manager's approval for work to be performed by an outside contractor. Develops pm programs satisfying applicable local, tosha, and faa regulations. Develops computer based preventive maintenance schedules for both facilities and sort system equipment buildings, etc. and ensures maintenance data is accurately and timely entered into FedEx computer. Works with programs to develop, execute and monitor data processing programs per maintenance user requirements; develops equipment time standards for better planning of manpower resources within the logos planning system. Provides work guidance to planner/scheduler; evaluates technical suggestion with respect to staff reductions, cost savings, and increased productivity. Monitors progress of activities and evaluates work methods and work processes; provides technical knowledge to schedule planned work on equipment for facilities sort systems shutdown for repair of pm activities. Develops and audits maintenance event bills of material for the logos planning system so that mrp provides the materials, parts, etc. that are required on each work order. Develops maintenance task reports for maintenance management; estimates the labor, parts, and materials required to perform the work specified on work orders; schedules daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance events for their assigned area. Interprets technical drawings and specifications with design and construction engineering and takes on special projects utilizing schematic GANTT (a chart devised by Henry Gantt) PERT - Program Evaluation and Review Technique, CPM (Critical Path Method) charts for maintenance. Assists departmental engineers and management in the review of sfd projects from maintenance planning perspective; performs cost trend analysis based on equipment repair cost and replacement cost for historical records. Develops occupancy cost per square foot for facilities being maintained; monitors fire protection annunciation panels, building automation system electrical dispatch board, ramp temperature sensing system and initiates action necessary. Provides professional guidance and assistance to the maintenance control and information center personnel as required.
