Job Description:	JSI has established an aggressive target for bringing solar power on line each year, and JSI is looking to fill the position of Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will be responsible for working with the business development and construction groups to assure that projects are completed in an accurate, timely and cost effective manner. The Project Engineer will be charged with managing and conducting analysis and design of electrical and structural components of solar projects, preparing project budgets, creating project schedules, support on off-take agreements, executing site, construction and environmental permits, managing engineering & design firms and overall project oversight, and supporting the project interconnection process with utilities. In addition, the Project Engineer will support the company's business development efforts by working in a collaborative manner to prepare RFP and direct proposals and also work with potential off-takers, banks, tax equity investors and associated consultants. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the following areas: * Support the early stage of a project by focusing on technical, commercial and various economic components of the project. * Once project is selected by off-taker/utility, manages day-to-day operational aspects of project's planning, enforcing JSI's project standards while minimizing company exposure to development and installation risks. * Understand and supports all permitting and assures that project receives and maintains all permits required for development of the project. * Support the technical design of projects including electrical, civil and structural layouts. * Manage the work performed by consultants and subcontractors working on various phases of the project prior to construction. * Identify land parcels and conduct preliminary site analysis including land assessment, interconnection with distribution and transmission and permit situation. * Review and submit transmission and interconnection applications. * Maintain close coordination with JSI's construction and business development groups to ensure that the project is executed properly in terms of quality, schedule and budget in line with the development plan. * Monitor and keep updated the overall project development schedule integrating the EPC schedule with the schedule of permits, authorizations and other contractual obligations. In addition, the position will involve supporting juwi solar Inc. in: * Analyze and support the execution of power purchase agreements with off-takers. * Preparation of request for proposals (RFP's): for utilities seeking projects and also for JSI's RFP for construction sub-contractors. * Support land acquisition. * Support the construction management team regarding logistics for onsite construction. Position Requirements: * ME/MS degree; * A minimum of four years of work experience; * Skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project; * Analytical Skills for problem solving; * Excellent writing and oral communication skills; * Ability to travel and willingness to work flexible and long hours; and * Desire to grow professionally.
