Job Description:	Job Summary: This position will assist the Mgr Engineering (Mechanical) by monitoring all mechanical equipment and computer based programs that support the energy management system. Supervise the daily activities within the Mechanical Engineering staff. Job Responsibilities: # Manage and support the building's energy management system including all mechanical equipment and related computer based programs. # Supervise the daily activities and monitor the performance of the Mechanical Engineering staff. Responsible for conducting interviews and performance reviews and for creating staff schedules. # Support the Mgr Engineering (Mechanical), in the areas of electrical controls, pools, HVAC & Refrigeration, plumbing, kitchens and building automation. # Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical systems. # Manage all work orders and scheduled maintenance through the computerized scheduling system. # Document and assign planned maintenance, rapid response other related work assignments daily. # Coordinate work, repairs and enhancements with vendors and contractors daily. # Responsible for all life safety documentations. # Ensure that the Mechanical Engineering staff is in compliance with OSHA regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautions. # Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: # Education: High school degree or equivalent required in addition to four years in mechanical trade school or equivalent required. # Experience: Minimum of four years Mechanical experience required with a minimum of three years supervisory experience preferred. Must be able to read Engineering drawings and technical literature. # Licenses/Certifications: Universal refrigerant certification as required by the EPA. Journeyman certification preferred. Material Handling Equipment certification as required (may vary by property).
