Job Description:	With a minimal of functional direction provides technical expertise, supervision and direction relative to engineering, procurement, and construction related activities including the coordination of all activities for a project or some portion of a project. Individual is responsible for providing leadership and technical guidance to personnel both inside and outside the Construction & Major Projects Department. Individual may have direct supervisory responsibilities. Individual will initiate the development and implementation of Construction Department policies and procedures as required. Individual is responsible for the direction and outcome of a project or some portion of a project. Qualifications : Basic Qualifications * Experience in supervising, coordinating and reviewing the work of a diverse project team. * Demonstrated capability in receiving general guidance related to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and translating into specific project plans. * 4 year degree in applicable field or equivalent work experience. * Broad based experience with or knowledge of operations in area to be supported. * 5 years experience in managing contracts/contractors as appropriate including negotiations. Effectively negotiates with others to reach agreement which will meet the organization's needs and those of others. * Demonstrated effective project management skills especially planning and directing diverse work efforts, and developing and motivating highly skilled team to manage complex projects. * Understanding of scheduling and cost processes. * Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills for complex project issues. Problems include differing situations requiring research innovations and creativity with areas of expertise to resolve. * Demonstrated interpersonal, human relations and communications skills to work efficiently with customers, team mates, and management. * Ability to effectively influence and advise upper management. * Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately using oral and written communications. Effective presentation skills. Desired Qualifications * Project management experience. * Construction or construction management experience. * Ability to Lead and facilitate project teams. * Engineering experience. Working Conditions Wide range of physical conditions ranging from extreme cold to extreme warm. Assignment may include supervising multiple shifts and extended hours. Requires walking, climbing, squatting, and lifting of less than 50 lbs.
