Regional Medical Center Building Director * provide project management leadership for SHS Regional Medical Center master facilities plan development and implementation * ensures appropriate participation of hospital staff, physicians, administration, community members, and corporate representatives * in conjunction with SHS facilities planning and development: review all contracts for appropriate content, schedule and cost effectiveness * scheuules and coordinates all meetings for consultants and hospital representatives (staff, physicians, Board members, auxiliary) and ensures appropriate representation. Actively includes all departments in the development of plans/designs * promotes cost effective designs and equipment/furnishing plans and achieves balance between departmental/physician/planning members wants and desires with realities of budget and design requirments * in conjunction with SHS/UMMS facilities planning and development: monitors project budget, schedule, and provides status reports to Senior Leadership * acts as an internal resource for staff during the design and building phases of the project to ensure appropriate communication and staff involvement * In coordination with managment: ensures effective transition and occupancy of new facitlity * coordinates all aspects of activation and occupancy of new departments, including move plans and their execution * stages move to provide smooth transition from one unit to another and occupancy of new facility; minimizes impact to patients and families * serves as bridge between clinical and non-clinical departments providing mutual understanding, support, compliance with necessary policies and the master plan * maintains Regional Medical Center Project Office and resources Shore Health System.......................So much to offer, so close to home. Requirements Regional Medical Center Building Director Effective skills in complex multi-disciplinary project coordination and ability to communicate across a diverse population including: colleagues, managers and medical staff Computer proficient in project management software, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, including experience creating spreadsheets and graphs Experience in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management is preferred Broad knowledge and strong familiarity with oversight of construction of construction and facilites expansion/management is desirable *Bachelor's degree or at least 10 years of progressively responsible and directly-related experience managing the development, planning, and design of projects Shore Health System is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
