Job Description:	Louisville, KY Construction Firm is looking for a Construction Estimator. This is a very exciting opportunity for growth! Scope: ·Prepare spreadsheets to analyze project costs, overheads and markups. ·Prepare technical documents and proposals to respond to RFPs ·Review terms and conditions from client RFPs and prepare reports on responsibilities, liabilities and specifications. ·Prepare documents setting forth project specifications, bills of materials, man-hour projections, trade sequence, and equipment required, to ensure timely and efficient completion of awarded contracts. ·Prepare and Communicate budgets, schedules, etc. to management ·Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. ·Advanced education, in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline required. ·Experience in estimating and proposal development-10 years; may substitute for some of the education requirements ·Attention to detail and accuracy are essential skills for this position. ·Must be computer literate and able to utilize Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Project, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of estimating software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. ·Ability to quickly analyze, interpret, compare detailed and often inadequately defined information. ·Technical writing and proposal development experience required **No phonecalls to Manpower branches, please!
