Job Description:	POSITION OVERVIEW: Our Client, a leader in the Oil & Gas sector with assets throughout the continent, is currently seeking two (2) Planner/Schedulers. Reporting into the Project Controls group for schedule development, monitoring and recovery plan development activities during engineering, procurement and construction phases of this major capital project. This position will also provide oversight for the client, while ensuring all contractors are keeping to schedule. LOCATION: Kansas City or Houston office JOB TYPE: Contract RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Interfaces with designated Company management and client counter parts for planning and scheduling tasks per PCM direction. 2. Responsible for collection, verification, and integration of works scope for all entities into the total project plan. 3. Performs timely and complete update of project schedules to determine contractor performance compliance with approved baseline. 4. Prepares and presents projects schedule analysis and conducts studies of problem areas to determine critically of schedule activities. 5. Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision. 6. Leads the development of scheduling standards and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. College/ University Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Construction. Substantial experience 10+ years in the Engineering and Construction industry will also be considered 2. Experience as a Lead or an acting Lead Planner/Scheduler on Heavy industry projects. 3. Demonstrated skills in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to planning and scheduling problems. 4. Thorough knowledge of planning practice and procedures. Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P3 or similar packages to plan, organize, review and develop complex EPC schedules. Proficient in CPM scheduling, resource loading and leveling. 5. Motivated self starter 6. Able to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment 7. Able to exercise leadership without formal authority and work within a team environment 8. Effective interpersonal communication and organizational skill
