Our headquarters in Fremont, CA is currently accepting applications for an experienced Residential Insulation Estimator with experience in garage doors and fireplaces. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience bidding on large residential insulation projects here in the Bay Area as well as experience with estimating garage doors and fireplaces. RESPONSIBILITIES include: · Generates leads, proactively visits with new and potential customers, researches Builders Exchange and trade publications to locate construction projects for bidding purposes. · Estimates new and retrofit construction measures for insulation in commercial construction. · Prepares and submits bids and work orders. · Processes submittals and contracts. · Corresponds with General Contractors and specific insulation consultants as necessary to complete projects. · Visits the job-site and consults with superintendents. · Communicates with vendor representatives in support of job needs and specifications. · Processes and follows up on all change orders. · Assists in timely collection of all customer accounts, as needed. · Pursues timely price increases, where possible and appropriate, in the event of major cost increases. · Participates and attends sales meetings. · Performs special assignments as required. · Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · Two years of college or trade school or the equivalent experience as an insulation estimator. · Two years experience in the insulation trade preferably as an insulation estimator or project manager. · Working knowledge of architecture and mechanical drawing. · Ability to read, interpret and accurately take-off constructions drawings. · Must be able to operate computer and standard software applications. Also must be able to learn and utilize specialized software applications. · Must possess excellent skills in math, writing, public relations, communications and negotiations. · Regular attendance is required.
