Job Description: Purpose
The Facilities Management Division is seeking two qualified applicants for the position of Electrical Planner, one supports the West Complex and the other Computational Facilities Complex.
The West Complex position will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the conventional facilities in the ORNL-West Campus area.
The Computational Complex position will be responsible for the data centers infrastructure and utilities within building 5300 and 5600.

Major Duties/Responsibilities
As a member of the Core team, the Planner is expected to promote and maintain a business culture that focuses on meeting the needs of craft, research and maintenance personnel. They serve in an important customer interface role for planned work to ensure that customers are fully informed about capacities, capabilities, costs for labor and materials, schedules, status, delays, etc. Planners ensure that work tasks are properly analyzed and graded according to ORNL work control procedures. They develop cost estimates and work plans; and assist in managing projects within established budgets and schedules. Generate metrics out of the Data Stream Management System for on-going work, a backlog of work, and upcoming preventative maintenance activities. They assist the F&O Materials Coordinator in maintaining a well stocked stores inventory of electrical parts and materials. They provide support, as appropriate, to craft workers and supervisors. Planners work closely with their counterparts to support administrative functions, training needs, timekeeping, workforce instruction & direction, performance evaluation and feedback, efficiency improvements, productivity improvements, etc. in support of the division agenda.

Qualifications Required
A Journeyman electrician or equivalent training preferred. A combined minimum of 5 yrs experience in planning (or equivalent combination of education, relevant training, or experience demonstrating an understanding of maintenance of buildings consisting of large office, laboratory or shop areas) is desirable.

Experience with the following preferred:
Computer software/hardware systems including - Data Stream or other maintenance management systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Schedule, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photo Editor, etc.).

Experience with the following is desired:
ORNL systems including SBMS, PAS and SAP. Applicant must process excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment. Familiarity with the ATLC contract is desirable. Planners must have good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and the ability to develop positive customer relations.
