Job Description:	The George Mason University, Facilities Management Department is currently seeking candidates for an Assistant Director, Building Commissioning position on the Fairfax, Va., campus. This position is responsible for the management and operations of the Construction Office's commissioning group. Incumbent will work with Mason's project managers, engineers, inspectors and Facilities Management personnel along with the designers, contractors and commissioning agents to insure new and renovated facilities meet the operational requirements of the university. The successful candidate for this position will have a strong background in the maintenance and operation of HVAC and building automation control (BAC) systems; and knowledge and experience in the operation, maintenance, repair and renovation of structures, roads, parking lots, grounds and utility systems. Excellent communication skills at all levels is a must. Incumbent should also possess a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering or a related degree, along with a professional engineer license and a Certified Building Commissioning Professional certification.
