Job Description:	Basic Qualifications:Must have three or more year’s experience supervising management and bargaining unit employees and/or directing craft workers. Must have experience with electrical, including 12 KV systems, and mechanical activities in the facilities maintenance environment. Core Competencies:- Bachelor degree in Engineering or a field related to facilities engineering or construction management with an emphasis on electrical systems, or an equivalent combination of work experience, education and training.- Typically possesses ten or more years combined experience performing or supervising facilities maintenance functions.- Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring team members.- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC work functions.- Demonstrated experience with maintenance planning processes.- Demonstrated experience interpreting construction drawings, schematics, and specifications.- Demonstrated experience applying current construction codes and standards.- Demonstrated experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and scheduling multiple tasks and assignments.- Demonstrated experience with the application of human resources policies, procedures, principles, and laws including discipline, performance management and development, selection of personnel, affirmative action, and equal opportunity legislation.- Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.- Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.- Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.- ANSI N18.1-1971 requirements: None. Preferences:Demonstrated experience performing HVAC activities at SONGS. Demonstrated experience supervising HVAC activities. Typical Responsibilities:The successful candidate will supervise the evaluation, development, and implementation of preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance and construction for HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and civil activities. The position will also coordinate with internal work groups, such as TDBU, and external work groups, such as SDG & E to perform 12KV power system maintenance and construction at SONGS. Typical responsibilities include: supervising SCE management and 2nd line supervisors to SCE craft workers; managing contracts, including enforcing contract language, terms and conditions, and scope and change order controls; providing oversight of maintenance planning functions; establishing and monitoring performance metrics; ensuring SCE management, SCE bargaining unit, and contract workers are properly trained to perform required activities in compliance with applicable construction protocols and safety rules; preparing and managing budgets; promoting a safety culture at SONGS; and performing other duties as required.
