Job Description:	About the Opportunity Function as the project manager for one or more major projects (e.g. Digital control system upgrade, steam generator replacement, reactor head replacement, etc.) at a nuclear power station. Has overall responsibility for successful execution of assigned project(s) from conceptual design through project close-out. Major duties include: - Ensuring all project activities are conducted with nuclear and personnel safety as the foremost considerations - Coordinating and driving all project activities such that the project(s) are completed safely within cost, schedule limits, and with requisite quality. - Developing, managing and tracking the project budget - Developing, executing and progressing the project schedule - Planning project work - Establishing and executing project control plan(s) - Acquiring and coordinating personnel to execute project functions - Identifying and properly addressing project risks - Anticipating, identifying and resolving issues before they affect the project - Training and mentoring project personnel as required - Initiating and overseeing the procurement of goods and services for the project - Periodically reporting project status to senior management and other stakeholders - Ability to obtain PMP within one year of employment Qualifications B.S. in engineering or technical discipline with at least 10 years project management experience at a nuclear power plant. Previous experience managing a major nuclear project (digital control system, steam generator or reactor head replacement) is highly desired.
