Job Description:	Environmental Engineering Specailist/ Field Technician; technical type, with solid environmental engineering experience. The scope entails conducting an audit of the Haz Waste Stream, Chemical analysis, ability to have a big picture perspective, Industrial Hygiene consulting, etc. Immediate need at a large government health care facility in the Los Angeles Metro Area. Candidate(s) must be able to accept direction and work independently. Good people skills and the ability to communicate well both orally and in writing, and establish and maintain good working relationships, are essential. Should have knowledge of: 1. Standard accepted environmental engineering practices to interpret and apply federal and state EPA rules, regulations, and procedures; 2. Mathematics and statistical analysis techniques and solid computer skills are required; 3. The operations, services, needs, and goals of management and their program(s) and the organizations; 4. Chemistry, hazardous waste management work processes and methods; 5. Safety and occupational health requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations, and/or technical orders; 6. Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize work to identify problems and develop innovative solutions; 7. Ability to gather, analyze, and present data and supporting analyses. Preferred Education: 4 Year Degree 40/32 hour HAZWOPER training Understanding and familiarity with the health care industry would definitely be a plus.
