Job Description:	Design, development, and implementation of radiation devices, containers, and related products. Directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. Technical resource for Manufacturing Operations as well as Regulatory and QA departments. Project management including responsibility for budget and on-time fulfillment. Perform sustaining engineering activities for released products including support to service, manufacturing subcontractors, cost-reduction efforts, design enhancements and complaint investigation. Participate in the review and disposition of non-conforming material. Provide engineering project leadership to assigned projects including definition of resource requirements and management of project team activities. Lead design improvement efforts for products and equipment in the manufacturing phase to address reliability issues, manufacturing problems and cost reduction activities. BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and 8-10 years experience in design and development of mechanical products, including 5 years engineering project leadership. Proficient with SolidWorks CAD, and Microsoft Office Tools. Ability to work with minimum supervision and self-schedule work load. Experience working in an ISO 9000 Quality System environment, and excellent communication skills. Prior work in FDA or NRC regulated environments preferred. Experience with radioactive materials, radiation shielding, and/or radiation devices preferred.
