Job Description:	Eaton Corporation located in Raleigh, NC has an opening for a Project Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation of programs identified as critical to the success of the Corporation. These programs can be product or project based and requires the coordination of resources across a broad range of functional organizations utilizing global development and supply chain teams. The key responsibilities of this positions include, but are not limited to: · Monitoring programs from initiation through successful completion of all formal protocol phase reviews, interfacing with all internal and external customers and reporting progress on a formal basis to management. · Organizing world wide team activities guaranteeing delivery of the program objectives on schedule and within budget. · Establishing, documenting and gaining approval of program objectives. · Identifying resources, preparing budgets and defining schedule to achieve program objectives. · Ensuring that functional organizational project plans meet the overall program plans. · Regularly interacting with management and/or major customers identifying issues relative to program deliverables. · Defining and gaining acceptance of program deliverables. · Preparing, maintaining and meeting overall program schedule. · Preparing budget and delivering project within plan. · Working with individual functional organizations to develop specific plans and financial/personnel budgets to support overall plan. · Ensuring all departments execute the plans to meet program objectives. · Identifying issues which could negatively impact program deliverables and initiates appropriate corrective action. · Meeting delivery schedule successfully within budget. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the Triangle area will be considered for this position. Job Qualifications/Educational Requirements · Requires a BS degree in Engineering. MBA preferred but not required. · Technical background, experience in engineering and/or manufacturing preferred. · Effective oral and written communication skills. · 3 – 5 years experience in project engineering, resource planning and budget management. · Previous use of Microsoft Project Management or use of an equivalent software application. · Ability to develop financial models for project justification (NPV, IRR, risk assessments) · Must be able to develop risk mitigation plans and implement plans as needed. · Experience with New product introductions at global contract manufacturers. · Experience leading a cross-functional, world-wide development preferred · Must be a self-starter that can independently drive projects forward to success. · Experience with UPS and/or power electronic products preferred · Experience with Asian supply chain a plus. · Able to speak Mandarin and read/write simplified/traditional Chinese preferred
