Job Description:	A leading Wire and Cable company in Northern New Jersey area has an immediate need for a skilled process engineer/estimator. This position will be on a Temporary Basis, possibly leading to a Permanent position. The individual must have previous Wire and Cable industry experience and be a self directed, detail and task oriented contributor. Key responsibilities for this position will include the following: 1) Provide technical support to sales group, and when required, directly to customer. Recommend product constructions for customer applications. 2) Develop manufacturing process sheets to support new product requirements. This will require the gathering and analysis of technical data, problem identification and resolutions, process evaluation and cost analysis. 3) Support procurement in the specification and selection of raw materials. 4)Assist manufacturing with scrap reduction ideas and improved methods to reduce material usage and material scrap. 5) This individual must have experience with lean and flow manufacturing methodologies and a familiarity with the following: Product quality improvements. Efficiency and productivity improvements. Process improvements and process cost reductions. Equipment utilization and downtime reduction.
