Job Description:	We are looking to hire an Estimator/Project Manager for our Restoration Division. This position is primarily responsible for selling and estimating fire, water and other property damage remediation and repair jobs and working closely with insurance companies and adjusters. Other key responsibilities will be to help streamline processes to increase department efficiency. We are looking for an energetic team player; an individual that is committed to conducting business according to our core beliefs. The project manager is primarily accountable for writing accurate estimates and selling jobs. You will work as part of a restoration team handling administrative, sales and operational responsibilities. The team is responsible for selling and producing the work it sells. The project manager writes and estimates scopes and has the ultimate responsibility that the team is performing so that every job is done on-time and under budget. Project managers are also responsible for undertaking marketing activities that will lead to more work from current sources and new work from new sources. As an estimator/project manager, your ability to work in our fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities is essential. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure customer satisfaction * Prepare accurate job estimates and negotiate them * Meet sales goals: sell jobs and actively market for new leads * Provide leadership for your restoration team * Ensure your team is producing jobs on-time and under budget * Proper file documentation * Timely preparation of estimates and billings * Oversee job cost reporting Qualifications * In depth knowledge of the commercial/residential remediation industry * Knowledge of fire, water and mold restoration processes and procedures is a plus but not necessary. * Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and deadlines * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent mathematical aptitude * Strong sense of urgency * Excellent ability to complete required paperwork correctly and punctually * Advanced computer skills, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Outlook * Familiarity with estimating software: Xactimate experience desired, but not required. * Very strong organizational skills * Hard working team player who can easily adapt to changing needs. * Strong desire to learn and excel! Trusted and referred for seven decades, Hammond Knoll is recognized as the largest full-service carpet, flooring, and furniture cleaning company in the South Puget Sound with its motto of "Expert Cleaning, Amazing Service." Services include residential and commercial carpet cleaning and repair, upholstery and leather cleaning and repair, oriental and area rug cleaning and repair, custom rug making, water damage restoration, allergy cleaning and treatment and tile and hard surface cleaning and repair. Local entrepreneur Ed Cartozian started cleaning oriental and area rugs in Tacoma in the 1930's. After WWII, the cleaning company moved to the present location on South G St. in Tacoma. In the early 1950's, Ed began selling the newly popular broadloom carpeting (known today as wall-to-wall) and sold the cleaning business to two of his employees with the last names of Hammond and Knoll. In 1987, Matt O'Haleck bought the local carpet store and building from owner Ed Cartozian. In its first year under new ownership, revenue increased 400 percent.
